Earlier this week, I had my financial fitness meeting -- it was nice to get back on track after a summer hiatus. It's a comfy meeting, with just two attendees (i think we like it that way), usually sprawled out on my wraparound couch. But that's not to say that serious stuff doesn't happen. We've been getting together for nearly a year now to discuss our personal finances, set financial goals for ourselves, keep each other on track with them, and celebrate our successes. This past meeting, we looked back to the goals that we initially made 11 months ago, and were pleased with our progress. Maybe it's the teacher in me (or the remnant of the "wanna-be teacher's pet") that responds well to "homework," because when I write down a goal and know that my "partner-in-finance" has written it down too and is going to check up on me about it, I manage to do it or at least try really hard! Why shouldn't we have people to support us with our financial goals? People have work-out partners, weight loss buddies, support groups & clubs for anything and everything -- why not have financial fitness friends?
Now on to my homework....
